(You Were Born Into A Life Of Prosperity)
By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
TO THE BIBLE: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers. (3 John 2 AMPC)
LET’S TALK
The moment you were born again, it became too late for you to be poor, for you were born into prosperity. The Bible says “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Now you know why it’s not possible for you to be poor anymore! More so, the prosperity that comes from God isn’t only about money and other material wealth; it’s about the totality of your well-being—spirit, soul and body.
It’s about having the blessing of God on your life in such a way that you’re able to impart the same life to someone else. It’s the manifestation of God’s grace upon your life, which causes everything that concerns you to succeed exceedingly. For example, the Bible says, “…the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things” (Genesis 24:1). This is exactly God’s will for you also—to enjoy the prosperity that comes with riches, happiness, peace and fulfilment. The beautiful thing is that you don’t have to pray to God to make you prosperous—all you need do is wake up to the realisation that prosperity is your birthright and walk in the light of it.
You’re born to prosper. Begin to function in this truth. The Lord already made the sovereign declaration that whatever you do shall prosper (Psalm 1:3), therefore let that be your mindset. Recognise that you have a limitless and inexhaustible inheritance in Christ. So go ahead and prosper in all your ways!

Thank you for giving me the kind of prosperity that guarantees peace, joy and fulfilment. Not only have you blessed me with abundant wealth, but you’ve also brought me into divine health and protection, making my prosperity all-round. Your wonderful blessings in my life touch others around me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
